Bangs

Molly's hair is like mine and grows fast. This causes lots of issues with her bangs..I hate them in her eyes..but I fell like $15 is a little much for a little kids haircut, especially if its just bangs..so I usually wait until the very last second! ($15 is the cheapest I've found around here..if you know better..PLEASE let me know!)

Here's how it turned out!

I'm totally shocked out how straight I was able to get them! They're also a little shorter then I had intended..but that just means longer until I do have to do it again!

cute! Does she let you do her hair more now?

And, $15 a cut is why I have long hair - Loren gives me a trim every 6 months or so. With short hair I need a cut every month!

If you tell them its just bangs- they dont charge you the full amount! Unusally bangs is only 3-5 bucks which i think is pretty good.

I agree with Katy. I have a no maintenance hair cut and go to a salon about once a year.

I'd say you did a pretty good job, so free is better than $15! :D

(There is a beauty academy there in town - on Roop - and they probably offer cheap haircuts. FYI)

well, teamclips here in town trims bangs for $6. i don't know if the price would be lower for kids. good job on getting her bangs straight. cutting hair is something i absolutely refuse to do. i did it to myself and, well, i'll never do that again.

$15 for a hair cut and $6 for BANGS!! Dang talk about carson inflation! GA Bangs for 6 bucks! Outragious! It is such an easy thing to do that it shouldn't be that much... Hair takes practice, but cutting it isn't that hard to do once you watch people do it and do some online research... I cut my boy's hair all the time (granted it is a three types of cut stop, but for now that works)... Bangs are easy and hard to do, the trick to make them look professional is cut them in a straight line like you did (which I must say looks FABOULOUS!!) then take them between your pointer and you finger next to your pointer pull up in a diagnal fasion towards the ceiling and cut the bangs at a little diagnal (meaning the top hair will be a little shorter than the bottom hair)... this takes away the blunt edges and gives it a look like it has been growing for a little while... That probably doesn't make to much sense, but the next time you go to get your hair cut or yours, as long as they aren't doing staight across the board, watch how they do layers and it is the same concept just not so drastic. the internet has a ton of instructional videos too. I don't do much to our girls, but I can add a little layers to the girls front and cut them straight on the bottom... bigger than that I don't do... All I can say is practice practice practice and cutting hair isn't that bad and saves ton of money when they are kids and don't care about their hair ...
